Text only — at least 20 characters, up to 8,000. If you saw an error message, copy the words in it rather than describing them; the exact wording is usually what identifies the bug.

Why there is no attach button

There is no file upload anywhere on this site, and that is deliberate rather than unfinished. A form that accepts uploads has to be right about every file type forever; a form that accepts none has nothing to get wrong. It keeps this server safe, and it keeps you safe from anything another tester might upload.

If a screenshot really is the only way to show something, say so here and we will arrange it directly.

Something more useful than a screenshot

Halyard Mail writes a log while it runs, and if the app misbehaved it usually says why in plain words. To find it, press Win and search for:

halyard.log

Paste the last twenty or thirty lines into the box above. It contains folder names, message counts and error text — no passwords and no message bodies — but read it before sending if you would rather check.
